Vampire Shrimp (Atya gabonensis)

These are unique filter feeding shrimp. They have no claws, but they have fans that open up to catch debris and food that floats through the water. They are peaceful invertebrates that mind their own business.  They can grow up to 6 inches and turn blue with age.
