West African Green Bichir (Polypterus retropinnis)

Also known as the Zaire Green Speckled bichir this is a smaller of Polypterus species. It reaches a maximum length of 13 inches. It is a newer species recently introduced to the hobby. It's patterns are similar to the Ornate bichir.
